N.Y.C and O.P.I Blue Glitter Nails Review

Hiya!

So, I know I said I was going to do some fireworks inspired nails, but, I ran out of time :( So, instead, because I already had my dark blue base in preparation for my fireworks nail design, I decided that I felt like adding a bit of glitter, with my gorgeous O.P.I blue glitter. And then I thought I may as well do a review on the nail polishes whilst I've got them on anyways. So here it is...

First of all, I always apply a base coat, but I think I'm going to do a separate review on them another time, so I'll move swiftly on to the N.Y.C Nail Glossies nail varnish in colour 243B (imaginative right?!). Now this isn't strictly speaking my nail polish, it actually belongs to my sister, but it is perhaps one of my favourite colours! The colour is a gorgeous deep blue, and as the name ' nail glossies' suggests, it does have a really shiny, glossy effect, which I really love. I really don't like matte nails and do really like my nails to have a glossy finish, and this is perhaps one of the best nail polishes I've tried for that. It's easy to apply as it has a good sized brush, and the square top can be taken off and has a normal top underneath which is much easier to use. It also dries reasonably quickly, which is always good because nobody likes waiting; and it lasts for a good few days with only minor chips, and as a girl who always struggles to make her nail varnish last, this is amazing. So, overall, I love the colour (although it does definitely deserve a more imaginative name!), and I love the polish. I did have a look on Superdrug's website to see whether I could find out how much this was, but it wasn't on there. However, most of their nail polishes are around the £2.00 mark so I don't think it would be too much more than that - definitely worth it in my opinion!

Then, I applied my O.P.I Nail Lacquer in colour Absolutely Alice, from their Alice in Wonderland Collection from last year. This polish was bought for me by sister as a Birthday or Christmas present last year, because I had seen O.P.I's Alice in Wonderland collection and had just been awestruck! Seriously, google the collection - particularly the colour Mad as a Hatter- it is just like my idea of heaven! Anyways, so unfortunately, Mad as a Hatter was completely sold out, but Absolutely Alice wasn't, so my sister got it for me, and I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened that present! So, as you can probably guess, this nail polish is another of my absolute favourites- it's a gorgeous blue glitter, with O.P.I's usual amazing quality and durability, and it is just a really good nail polish. Unfortunately it is a collection which has now gone, so I think you could only get it off e-bay or something now if you were lucky, but O.P.I are continually bringing out amazing and gorgeous collections so I would recommend checking out their website or facebook page to look at these- at the moment there is an awesome Muppets collection which I am loving! The only non-amazing thing about O.P.I's nail polish is the price. I think the normal price is about £10.50, which although they are amazing quality, amazing colours, last for so long, and are a much bigger pot than most other nail polishes, is a hell of a lot of money just for a nail polish. So, I would definitely reccomend O.P.I, but unless you do have that kind of money to spend on a nail polish, or unless it is a particularly amazing colour, then I would say, perhaps wait for it to turn up in a sale somewhere!

Hope you like the review guys! And I hope the pictures are a bit better quality than last time :L Oh, and I'll be doing a post about Nails Inc polishes from Glamour Magazine next, so watch out for that :)
